An 'ala carte menu' of what out council offers its members and the parish

COMMUNITY

Director: David Gerhardt

  • Organizes emergency Disaster Relief Teams as needed

  • Manages the Coats for Kids programs

  • Provide manpower and donation to Veteran Stand Down

  • Puts on the popular Friday Fish Fry Dinners during Lent

  • Holds Fruit sales fundraiser

 

FAITH

Director:   Bob Hall

  • Coordinates annual dedication to the Holy Family

  • Recognize Altar Servers with certificate of service

  • Provide donation for parish youth to attend March for Life

  • Provides financial support to two diocese seminarians

  • Promotes parish Perpetual Adoration program

  • Sells Christ centered Christmas cards

  • Schedules for Novenas and Holy Hours​

 

FAMILY

Director: George Brown

  • Families attend Hickory Crawdads baseball game as a group

  • Puts of the Annual Picnic for Knights and their families in the Spring

  • Coordinates with Parish Family Commission for various events

  • Supports the youth of St. Aloysius as needed by our parish

LIFE

Director:   Eddie Williams

  • Provide financial support to Hickory Pregnancy Care Center

  • Install Pro-Life crosses at St. Aloysius in October

  • Planning for Hickory Annual Life Chain in October

  • Planning for parish trip to March for Life in Washington DC in January

LAMB [Least Among My Brethren]

Director: Steve Purcell

  • Provide special assistance with NC Special Olympics

  • Organize basketball and soccer events with special needs schools

  • Plans for various fundraising campaigns

 

LADIES AUXILLARY

President: Ann Bowman

  • Enables the mothers, wives, daughters, sisters of current Knights to assist in supporting the efforts of the council, the community, and clergy of St. Aloysius.

  • Host various fundraisers or charitable events throughout the year

  • Assist in the forming, organization, leadership, and operation of events within our faith community under Council 6451 as needed.

 

MEMBERSHIP

Director: Matt McDonald

  • Coordinates council recruiting efforts among the men of the parish
